We had wanted an off-the-beaten track holiday, and this is exactly what we experienced. Although there are three villas in close proximity none of the houses are overlooked and the olive trees shield any noise and offer great seclusion.
We stayed in the 2-bedroom villa, although set on a slope and looking like a house all the rooms were on one-level. The villa was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. The iron was missing but Yiannis, the owner, bought a new one the day it was mentioned.
We cannot praise the location enough as the area has so much to offer. A car is essential. There are many beaches to suit all tastes whether secluded, beach bar or sun-loungers with tavernas behind serving very good Greek cuisine. Magnificent waterfalls and cultural places to visit in addition to nearby towns offering a great variety. We stayed for three weeks and were never bored.
The owner also has Eleonas Holiday Village which we visited, and the accommodation there too looks excellent and is within walking distance to Gialova.
Gialova is a wonderful place to stay and we shall return without doubtMore
