When you enter Zorbas, you‘re not entering just a restaurant, you‘re entering a family and then you become a part of it :)
The restaurant is on the main street in Agios Stefanos and during dinner time it is busy and looks a bit commercial on the outside... Still, the third night of our stay, we were attracted and decided to try it... and then we had our dinner there each following night. For our surprise the food was better, than what we‘ve had the days before, the portions are big and prices - very reasonable.
You will be welcomed at the door and when you sit, you‘ll be asked from the charming Konstantina what would you like to drink. Maki will bring you bread, olive paste and buter. Then, Pavlos (the owner) will come to take your order and answer whatever questions you might have about the food. His mother is the Chef in the kitchen, his wife will prepare your drinks, his cousin will greet you, when you come in and his father will smile for you. These people are a great family and they will take care of you.
During dinner time you will have the chance to see typical greek dances and you will have fun for sure.
The fish (Sea Bream and Sea Bass) is always fresh and very delicious. The lamb will melt in your mouth. There are different kind of interesting greek dishes. The salads are huge portions and deserts are great! We ordered meat meals several times. Most of them it was dry and stringy, in our opinion, mainly because they use frozen meat...and this is the reason why we didn‘t rate it excellent.
Dear Zorbas, one tip from us: Use fresh meat for your dishes. Your meals will be much more delicious!
We‘ve noticed, that there is also a corner with a playground for children.
