A business hotel that could do with a refresh, but it’s still mostly ok, with clean, large rooms and comfy beds. I wish there was a chair instead of just a stool to sit in the room.
It’s also well located, with a supermarket and a convenience store just across the road, and walking distance to the riverfront and coffee shops and places to eat.
Breakfast was a bit lacking in variety, both for local and foreign palates. No eggs, and the juice and the butter (margarine, actually) were both pretty bad.
Other than that, very polite staff. Special mention for Soa (or Sao?) in reception. She looked like the only staff member who spoke some English and she was really helpful during my whole stay. She arranged tuk-tuks for my sightseeing, phoned the bus station to enquire about timetables and prices, and helped me top up my mobile phone package. In a city where English is not widely spoken, having someone like her is invaluable to foreign visitors.More
