I had a lovely lunch with my family on Saturday at East Point Grill.
It's been over a year since I last ate there, and I wasn't sure what to expect.
I was not disappointed!
When I first looked at the menu, I was faced with a 'Too Much Choice Dilemma' as there was so many dishes that caught my fancy. From Spicy Italian Sausages, Ribs, Steaks, Chops and Brisket.....all done on the grill or smoker.
Then the Mix from the Grill caught my eye. A sausage, some ribs and a small steak, served with your choice of Rice or Fries, and a side of Coleslaw and Salad, for BDS$55. I was a bit sceptical of the price but ordered it none the less.
It was AWESOME. The steak was very tasty although it could have been closer to medium, to make it more juicy. The sausage was very good, and the ribs....tasty, and almost falling off the bone.
I went the fries, which were crispy but not greasy.
My wife had the brisket with a side of fried plantain, which she thoroughly enjoyed, and my son ordered Corn on the cob and plantain of the kids menu, which he devoured.
The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The day was a bit warm, but they have a pair of large ceiling fans helping to keep the area cool.
No complaints at all.
Will definitely return.

With definite nods to local seasonings, and sweeter notes in their house sauce, East Point Grill serves up some very good smoked, southern style BBQ very near to the easternmost tip of the island.

Well prepared appetizers, a few of which also double as kids meal items. This includes crispy veg samosas with tart tamarind and a creamy Rosa Marie sauce, as well as somehow dense and fluffy fish cakes that are crunchy, airy, and delicious.

Melt in your mouth beef brisket, with just enough fat ribboned through the meat, with choice of sides and salad.

We went on a Saturday, so my more adventurous wife partook of a specialty only available once a week: pudding and souse. A two part meal, it features a sweet potato pudding, flavoured like a black pudding with pig's blood; and a fresh made pickled pork with pieces from the head, ears and hoof, combined with cucumber, herbs and lime juice. It is unusual, but she enjoyed it, and I even liked the bit I sampled.

The service is as relaxed as the atmosphere in this all outdoor restaurant, with gorgeous views of the rugged east coast stretch out north of the Ragged Point peninsula.

Fun place right on the Atlantic. Grilled meats and fish with big portions. We went twice on our recent trip. If you are in the area, try it.
