We travelled here in September. We found the location excellent as a central point to the island but you can't walk to any where from the villas so a car is essential. the staff where all very friendly and helpful. The villa We stayed in was reasonably well equipped and very quaint the grounds and swimming pool where spacious and peacefull with lovely views of the hills in the distance. The on sight restaurant served decent food at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Greek night on Wednesday, which includes live Greek music and dancing a four course meal with as much wine as you can drink for just €15 each. I would also recommend the restaurant at Agia marina about 7 km away (I can't remember the name but it's the only one there) it has the most spectacular panoramic view of the island and is well worth a visit.
The island itself is beautiful and surprisingly green, we ate out everyday and found the food and drink very reasonably priced. The roads are quiet (apart from the capital). The island is easy enough to drive around but the roads are generally of poor quality.
A lot of what the previous reviewer said (creaky upstairs, lack of cooking utensils, poor quality appliances only four sunbeds) is true, however we as a couple who ate out everyday never experienced these problems although the lack of internet in the villa was a real shame. As a result I would highly recommend these villas for a couple but maybe not for a family intending on eating in regularly. We hope to return in the near future.

Location, basic design, building layout, gardens & setting excellent. Onsite Restaurant very good, reasonably priced. The staff throughout complex are very helpful, absolutely delightful and do everything in their power to make your stay a good one.
That is where the superlatives end.

The villas:-
Suspended wooden floors and staircase creak crack and bang EXTREMELY LOUDLY when walked upon and resonate throughout the whole building, anyone transiting to the bathroom at night wakes the whole household.
Upstairs partition walls afford no acoustic privacy whatsoever!!
All beds are very hard and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.
The upright wooden furniture in the sitting room affords little comfort when trying to relax in the evening.
The living/kitchen area is very dark in the daytime as shutters cannot be opened fully to let light in due to the security bars at all downstairs windows, giving this area a depressing ambience.
Very minimal equipment supplied for selfcatering and is of Pound Shop quality, all appliances are well past their sell by date!  There are not enough pots and pans or oven dishes to cook a proper family meal.
No BBQ supplied.
All linens are at the end of their life and are grey and uninviting.
No pool or beach towels supplied. Pool Sunbeds minimalistic & only 4 supplied.
Plumbing and the electrics are of very dubious quality. i.e. Sewer smell often in bathrooms & kitchen due to lack of traps etc.
Shower is fed from the bath mixer tap, NO thermostatic control, one minute warm, then really cold, followed by scalding water, enough to burn a youngster, VERY dangerous.
Electrics get wet inside the houses in heavy storms and fuse out.
The kitchen cabinets have dried out, shrunk and look very shabby.
Wi-Fi unavailable in villas and can only be received in Resort Reception at €12 per week.(free at most island cafes), use of safe is also charged at €12 per week.
TV - BBC news only.
A DVD player is supplied but no DVDs; a library at reception would afford some evening entertainment & could generate revenue.
Pool unheated - with all this sunshine why no solar panels?
Aresti complex has 4 star potential but falls far short of this rating.
The reality was very disappointing after the description in the Thomson brochure.

Room tip: Ask for villa with southerly pool aspect

Good location lovely Villa plenty of room private pool which was a good size.friendly staff.Beautiful location only 10 minute drive to coast and lots of taverns and shops. Plenty of supermarkets for essentials. There is a restaurant on site open for breakfasts and evening meals.Would highly recommend.Only 16 Villas so nice and peaceful.Ideal for families and couples.Only negative no WiFi in Villa. Would definitely visit again a beautiful place with everything on the island not too far away.

Stayed with family in the villa Artemis. Apart from the very creaky staircase I couldn't fault the place...and I only mention the stairs as we had a baby with us and it was such a loud creak it disturbed their sleep!! Staff were lovely, the villa cleaned daily as was the private pool. All told a lovely place to spend time.

We returned after an excellent stay 2 years ago. Disappointed to find no welcome pack this year, previously we had some initial supplies which were missed after the traveling.
We previously stayed in Maritina but this time had Andulyan. Lots of power cites which only seemed to affect us whilst other villas were fine. Could do better.
Good food in restaurant but more for your money elsewhere. Service quite slow.
