Pont Saint-Martin is a great stopover place to greet or say goodbye to Italy, being large enough to feel like a town but without the hassle or pressure of the better known but much more touristy towns nearby. The 2 thousand year old roman bridge is stupendous and the hotel is right next to it on the main square, with many rooms affording fabulous views. The rooms are spacious and clean but simple, the staff friendly and solicitous. This is a great dog-friendly hotel. The only let-down is the breakfast, which has improved recently but is still no better than you could get on the autostrada.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the bridge unless the sound of rushing water from the river is likely to keep you awake

We recently stayed at Ponte Romano Hotel, Pont St Martin, Valle d'Aosta, to attend a wedding nearby. It was a lovely stay. The room was awesome, overlooking the famous Ponte Romano bridge which was built 2000 years ago. An additional attraction was the ' Giro d'Italia' which passed through Aosta and beneath our balcony. A quaint, boutique hotel. Only sorry that the restaurant was closed at the time. A huge thank you to Monica & Ornella for our wonderful stay.

Stayed here whilst walking the Via Francigena and had a great balcony room overlooking the ancient bridge ...

The room was extremely well presented with an artistic touch. Compliments to the person responsible for the decor and daily presentation.

The lovely girl who booked us in and spoke good English but the other staff were not friendly to us Aussies (we speak some Italian so understood their conversations) and the restaurant is now closed BUT other than those minor complaints our stay was near perfect.

Breakfast was good. I recommend this hotel for the magnificent well priced room with views of the bridge.

Stop off on our Italy tour in this lovely village. The hotel was spotlessly clean if slightly dated. stunning views from the room of the Ponte it's self and the hills surrounding. Breakfast a little limited but the room despite it's older decor was done with towels decorating the beds which our girls loved.
Clean roomy comfortable an excellent stop off choice.

Room Tip: Large corner room with 2 balconies to take in the views.

Location: very well located overlooking the famous Roman segmental arch bridge. Good place to join the hiking trail Via Francigena.

Sleep quality: matress is the worth I have ever slept (even in my last 3 years of business trips I have never had such a bad matress), as it is very slim and extremely soft (could even feel the structure below - altough I am not heavy at all). Otherwise it is pretty quite if you are in the higher floor. I would recommend for people to say on low floor as there is bar downstair where people chat quite loudly

Room: it was very good size and with nice view on the bridge. However, the room really need refurbishment (very old style). The water pressure from the shower was also not really optimal. Be aware that the wifi is whether not working or the connection is very low (impossible to use).

Service: the staff was nice and helpful.
