The hotel is excellent, no doubt about that. Rooms are very clean, warm and nice places to be. Balconies have great views. We stayed in March when it was feet deep in snow and around -5C. The spa area is lovely - very nice pool and jacuzzi and everything spotless. Like many places, the staff can be varied. Most were friendly and helpful, one or two merely giving the minimal polite service their jobs required. Breakfast was normal continental and fine. Restaurant in the evening over-rated - food average and not good value. Overall, I recommend staying here if you are coming to Cogne.
However, be warned. The town is tiny and there is very little to do in the evenings. There is no real Apres Ski or any sort of entertainment. If you exclude restaurants, the bar opposite the hotel was the only one in the area, but often there were only 5 or 6 people in it. Shame, because the service and drinks were fantastic. Locals are ok, but not particularly welcoming.More
