Came here with a few friends to unwind and we loved it! Beautiful beach and lovely, tranquil spa grounds! The rooms are sleek and simple: more modern and spacious than other luxury resorts in Anguilla. Food was good, but Anguilla's local restaurants are tough for the hotels to rival. ;) Mark was the manager when we were there and we are truly grateful for his exceptional hospitality. Thanks for a great time! We look forward to seeing Zemi Beach again soon!

We took a day trip to Zemi Beach resort for a day at the Spa and lunch on the beach.
AMAZING. The spa was something I have never experienced. Initial greeting from the great staff was energetic and they introduced to what we would be experiencing 1 hour prior to our massage. Great way to start. It is like a introduction for what is to come from your massage therapist. Absolutely the best treatments I have had at any spa in the world. Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The property is so beautiful. The setting is breathtaking and the staff extremely friendly and on point to make you feel at home. The chef at lunch greeted all the guests and spoke to each table. I am a foodie and found this to be quite personable. He took the time to great each table and chatted with each guest. Very nice. After our massage we headed back to enjoy a cocktail at their beach bar/restaurant and met a incredible bartender. I wish I could remember his name. He made us a fabulous strawberry/blueberry mojito. It was so good and took the time to show us the different fruits that grow on the islands in the carribean. This was a perfect ending to a more than perfect day. One more thing. We stopped in the reception and met Rachel. She took the time to show us a beautiful villa with a lovely upper deck that looks over the entire Shoal Bay. We will definately stay here on our next trip to the beautiful island of Anguilla and the beautiful people that live here. Can't wait to return to a PERFECT resort.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Zemi this past weekend, and are already thinking about when we'll go back next summer - it was that amazing.

Leading up to our trip, the hotel was very communicative, sending us information about how to best get to the island, offering to setup ferry and taxi transfers. They recommended a local car rental company, and that company couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating - dropping our Jeep off at the resort for us, and coming back to do paperwork. Zemi booked our ferry transfers for the way back to the St. Maarten airport, and it was seamless, including the Calypso Charter paying for our departure taxes and billing back to our credit card, because we didn't have enough cash on us when we got to the port. For those of you traveling, make sure to bring plenty of cash for the ferries, gas, and taxes! That was our mistake, and we won't make it again.

Given the time of year, the hotel was very quiet, and we were upgraded to an ocean view room, 413. Everything from entering the hotel (the grounds are gorgeous), to the cool towel at reception, the rum punch and the golf cart ride around to show off the property was a nice touch. Our room was beyond our expectations - the pictures don't do the rooms justice. My husband and I were obsessed with the Frette bath sheets and Malin+Goetz products in the bathrooms (buying them when we get home) - and everything from the decor, to the cleanliness, to the thoughtful perks like a cookie and water at turn down every night made us feel so comfortable in our room. The one tiny downside to the room was the mattress was super hard. I like a firm mattress, but even to me, this one felt extremely hard.

Every single person we encountered was so friendly. EVERYONE. We have never experienced such stellar service, with someone in guest services checking in on us each day, remembering little things like our newborn sons' name, calling around and trying to organize a dive for my husband when everything was pretty much shut down for the season, and giving us local restaurant recommendations. Walking out to the pool or beach and immediately being setup with multiple beach towels, cooler bags of waters and someone coming by asking if we needed drinks/food throughout the day was amazing.

We dined at Stone one of the nights (it was only open Fri/Sat that weekend) and the meal was delicious. The included full buffet breakfast each morning was also delicious, and very expansive. If I can find one fault, I would say the 20 Knots menu was very limited (as was Stone), and that after 4 days there and eating lunch offsite twice and dinner elsewhere one night, we were already tired of the menu options. I'm thinking maybe because it was the end of the season, maybe that's why the menu wasn't overly expansive? BUT, this wouldn't deter us from returning.

Some of the food we had was hit or miss, I got a burger the first night and it was completely overcooked and dry, and the chicken curry we had at 20 Knots wasn't great. Otherwise, we enjoyed everything else we ordered from the 20 Knots menu, especially the pizza.

The beach is absolutely gorgeous, picture perfect and what you would expect a Caribbean beach stock photo to look like. The pool by the beach was great, and we often rotated between the two. I never saw anybody using the adults only pool, but it looked very serene.

I didn't get a chance to try the spa, but will plan to next visit!

Room tip: Room 413 - Ocean View was awesome!

We are not sure how the political system works on Anguilla, but we would like to nominate Caressa, our awesome breakfast server and all-around genius girl, for president. She is just one of the many people of Zemi Beach House that makes it such a friendly, singular experience. This is the warmest kindest most awesome plunge-pooly tequila-soaked sun dappled place we've ever been. We had to be pried from our room with equipment shipped from St. Martin. We love you Zemi Beach House!

After 10 nights at Zemi, we really got to know the island, restaurants, people, and resort. After flying from San Juan PR to AXA we were greeted at the airport by Zemi staff even though we had a rental car. They asked us about our flight if we needed directions and took drink orders for when we arrived at the resort. After check-in, Mark gave us a property tour on a golf cart and explained about the island and resort pre and post-hurricane Irma. He assured we were settled in our room and everything was to our liking. We had dinner on campus at 20 Knots and Stone. Stone was the nicest restaurant on the island and is some of the only "fine dining" we experienced. Emilie the sommelier was very helpful and extremely friendly. There are two pools, a large family pool that overlooks the beach and sits directly next to 20 Knots (open breakfast, lunch, dinner). There is also the adult pool which was right outside of our building and is elevated into 3 tiers. The adult pool is very quiet and nice to enjoy in the afternoon. The resort sits on Shoal Bay East which has absolutely beautiful white sand and crystal clear water The only disadvantage of this location is that restaurants and attractions are about a 20-30min drive (having a car is an asset). The beach hut provides complimentary snorkel equipment, kayaks, and paddle boards for guest use. The rooms are huge and the balcony overlooks the wonderfully landscaped resort. There is one tennis court for guest use and they provide rackets and balls which is a huge advantage!! The spa sits closest to the entrance and is very nice. I had a message with Princess who was fabulous. With a treatment in the spa, you receive a choice between a mud or citrus scrub and access to the sauna, hot tub etc. Overall Zemi provided exceptional service, luxury facilities, great food, and friendly people all while staying in a small resort with a family feel.
