Small, cosy, and really enjoyable experience.

We stayed here for a night at the start of our NC500 (Highlands and Islands) journey, and it was a fantastic start to the trip.

THE SERVICE
We were greeted by a very friendly owner, who gave us the keys to our pods, showed us around the shared kitchen cabin, and pointed us to the logs for making a fire.

THE PODS
The pods were really done up to a gorgeous standard. It felt more like home (but in a magical sort of way). The design of the bathroom and bunk beds was amazing, and although our kids loved it, it is also brilliant for couples.

THE EXTRAS
There is a fire pit outside, and we were able to sit around it in the freezing cold and enjoy roasting marshmallows. There is also some covered outdoor seating with blankets provided, as well as a dartboard for entertainment, and a kitchen for any meal or drink making.

MINOR NEGATIVES
It is just three pods, and they aren't really located in the countryside. They're actually located inside a residential estate. Thankfully, they are on a hill, so you do look over the rooftops, which slightly compensates for the lack of view.

Room tip: Bring the marshmallows!

Hello! Lovely to hear from you! Thankyou so much for taking time to offer your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us.

We thought our setting description was clear that the pods are beside our house, but I'll make sure that the listing describes this clearly. David has just purchased a drone so a wee aerial video would be a good idea I think just to show proximity to us and our neighbours here on the edges of town. We are keen to point out that it's sort of the best of both worlds, Glamping and views and at the same time easy access to all Inverness has to offer.

Again many thanks and haste ye back!

Kind regards
Maggie

We really wanted to love this place. It was very comfortable and clean. We ended up staying for both nights we reserved, but did so with hesitation. We are travelers from out of the country. We were relying on more accommodations, and the main one that was advertised. They just didn’t come through with it. We specifically booked hotels with WiFi access, and we needed it at night to plan the next day. Their WiFi didn’t work. We called and had them reset their modem, but no luck. Also, coming from another country we relied on soap, shampoo, and conditioner. They didn’t provide that either. I suppose this place would be great for locals, but I would plan otherwise if that’s not the case.

Hello
I’m so sorry our facility didn’t live up to your expectation.
We absolutely are dealing with the WiFi although the weather does have an impact on this it seems as it is working perfectly at the moment- in the sunshine!
In terms of toiletries I’m sorry your expectations were different to that noted in our descriptions. I do hope you had plenty soap as is provided for guests.
I hope the rest of your travels around Scotland were marvellous and thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
Kind regards
Maggie

We visited to celebrate a special birthday! A girls glamping weekend! It’s didn’t disappoint.
The pods were clean, simple and included everything we needed. We made use of the BBQ facilities as well as the bothy. We sat out til midnight enjoying the sunset and beautiful setting.
Maggie and Dave were the perfect hosts. Really lovely people. Homemade pancakes and jam in the morning were the kindest gesture! We will be recommending to family and friends and we’re already planning to return.

The two of us and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Pod was very comfortable, and everything very thoughtfully provided there, in Bothy and Hacienda. Maggie and Dave are excellent hosts, giving useful tips on getting best from the area. Brilliant weather enhanced experience too.

Some times it happens that has a heavy traveler I get surprised... this was one of those times.
We had some expectations for our glamping but what we found in Inverness was simply amazing.
We loved the pods, the BBQ availability, the little kitchen, the fresh eggs from the little chicken farm besides the pods and Maggie was really helpful and super cool.
A definite REPEAT!
