We stayed in this hotel on our hiking trip through Brittany. We arrived on a rainy day and it was really difficult to dry our wet garments. The madame at least, gave me old newspapers to dry out our shoes, which was helpful. As the heating system could not be switched on, we really had problems to get our things dry. As we stayed in many hotels, and could compare accommodation costs and quality, we must say, that this hotel was one of the more expensive ones, if you look at what is offered.

Bright. Warm. Helpful. Beautifully appointed. Comfortable room. Everything that you need for a Brittany vacation spot. The proprietress is charming and friendly. Free parking and internet (although it tends to drop frequently). You will love it!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are bigger for few Euros more

We enjoyed this tiny hotel of 22 rooms spread over a few two storeys brand-new buildings. Our room (#9) was spacious and comfortable although far from being fancy. The location is FANTASTIC with many trails around to walk, an amazing cafe-bakery in the village making the best bread and dessert around and so so so many things to do for adults AND kids at less than one-hour drive.

The service is very personalized and friendly albeit not so professional. The lady in charge is obviously from the village and welcomes you as her guests not as customers.

If you are keen on standardization and performance then consider other alternatives. Our breakfast changed everyday, getting better and better but different everyday. Wifi had no Internet connection and our host had clearly no qualification to fix it.

If you want to feel a local flavor with clean and modern rooms that's the place to be.

Consider asking for a room with view over the gulf. In our room we had to bend out of the window to enjoy this view. It requires the room to be on the first floor in the unique building facing the Gulf. That view is breath-taking and changing everyday and every hour.

The hotel is by a local road with so limited traffic that it should not bother you.

Enjoy the moment

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Gulf on the first floor to enjoy an amazing view

I stayed at this hotel with my family for three nights to watch the Tour de France in nearby Vannes. We stayed in two of the superior rooms. The hotel was absolutely lovely. The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean and the bathrooms were enormous. The beds were also huge and very comfortable. We had beautiful views of the Gulf de Morbihan from our windows. There was also a communal seating area outside where you could sit and eat and drink and relax in the evenings if you wanted to. The breakfast provided was very good with bread, croissants, fruit and yogurt and good coffee. The staff were really nice and very friendly. They could not do enough for you. St Armel is a small village but was very picturesque and it had a creperie, a nice little bar in the centre of the village where you could sit and watch life go by. Next to the hotel there was also a very nice café and shop selling local Breton produce. It was a good base that we used to travel to lots of different local areas - Vannes, Mur de Bretagne, Pontivy and many more. All in all, it was perfect and we will most definitely be staying there again.

We stayed here as we where travelling for our friends wedding nearby. Not knowing the area and being a 3 star we didn't know what to expect but what a wonderful suprise!
We received a warm welcome with spotlessly clean rooms and a very comfortable bed.
The photographs do not do the hotel justice, it is much prettier and cosier than you would first believe.
I also left my mobile phone behind on the bed and the staff found out where our wedding party had been via a local taxi service and had it forwarded on without even asking! Brilliant service and very helpful staff!

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have a patio area for sitting which is nice.
