Description: Exquisite, Perfection, Tantalising, Heavenly, Divine........Just some of the many compliments we have received about the new dining experience that we offer at the newly refurbished "Cross Keys Hotel - Bar and Restaurant" in Nantgarw. Under the New Management of Christine and her family, the Cross Keys has been lovingly restored to new heights. A former 18th Century Tollgate on the old Merthyr to Cardiff road, the Cross Keys has risen like a Phoenix from the Ashes to become a Smart, Relaxed, and Unique Bar and Dining experience offering that something extra special. Warm vibrant colours and relaxed settings welcome every guest to The Cross Keys. Allow us to tease those tastebuds with fine quality dining, complimented by the excellent and wide range of drinks from our Bar to give you an experience that will leave you wanting to come back for more.

So sad to see this place closed up. Been trying to book for a few weeks but no answer and then drove past today to see that it is closed and available to let.

Visited for the 2nd time. This time for an evening meal, last time we had lunch. The food was excellent - lots of fish on the menu. I chose the plaice which was delicous. The decor is good as is the service. Unfortunately the location of the pub is not good so not many people there whcih meant there was not a great atmosphere. The outside does not give a good impression and you would never know that behind this ordinary/rather scruffy looking place is a well decorated restaurant with chef cooked food. Give it a go, you will not be sorry.

I visited the Cross Keys with my wife and family members recently as I had previously attended a wake there and was really impressed with the buffet as everything including the bread was home made. there is not a huge range of beers and lagers but all tastes are catered for, the guest beers are changed frequently which is a bonus for me. the menu is also changed daily so you never know what is on offer until you arrive. The service is excellent with a knowledgeable landlady, a French waitress who obviously enjoys her work, the food is beautifully cooked and there is a reasonably priced wine list. It was surprising that on a Friday night there were not more people there. Well worth a visit and I will definitely be going back
