Excellent comfortable accommodation all of a very high spec. Nice to have a kitchen with top notch pans/knives etc. Good location, quiet and parking not an issue plenty of room in the village and parked each night opposite the pub 50yds away. Friendly pub as well. All in all excellent value for money.
What a beautiful cottage this is. We were so pleased when we walked in and saw how quaint it was. I would definitely recommend this cottage rental.
The owners have really made sure everything is of the top quality from the cutlery, pots, pans and utensils to the bedding and towels.
It was very homely with things like big mugs and plenty of hangers. It's these little things that really made our stay.
There is a travel cot and high chair if you have very small children with you. There is also no need to take a hairdryer as there is one available for you to use.
The underfloor heating in the bathroom was wonderful and we had a couple of lovely fires in the evenings - the log burning stove was brilliant. There is a DVD player but only a couple of DVDs which were for small children (peppy pig and in the night garden) so take a couple of your own if you fancy a night in with a film.
There were plenty of games for children and books for every taste available just in case you've forgotten your holiday reading.
All the rooms are very spacious and decorated to a very high standard.
There are just 2 things that I would say were an annoyance but I don't think they can be resolved by the owners. One is the water pressure in the shower. It's pretty non existent so be prepared to have baths instead. The other is the WiFi which was sporadic and no signal with O2 on your mobile phone.
Overall we had a fantastic 4 days in this lovely cottage and will definitely be returning.
Make sure you buy supplies in Minehead or Dunster before going to the cottage as there is no shop at all in the village; only a Post Office and they only sell eggs.
Clean, well presented cottage with everything you need for a great stay. We stayed 4 nights and went on some beautiful walks in the nearby countryside. Would thoroughly recommend.
We had a lovely, relaxing week in Timberscombe. The cottage is beautiful & located in a charming village though there is not much to do directly on the doorstep.
We had everything we needed & the cottage was as shown in the pictures. The bathroom's under floor heating was a real treat in the winter mornings! The log fire was also great. We used the kitchen a lot & were grateful for all the pots/pans & utensils in there, it was very well appointed!
We had a minor issue with the water pressure in the shower, which we realise can't really be helped, but everything else was fantastic.
We found it was easy to get around Exmoor from Timberscome by car. Even in some drizzle we were able to enjoy the walks along the 21 mile drive, Watersmeet, Coombe Martin, Dunster, Lynmouth. We went to Tropiquaria & handled a snake & lizard. We also managed a day trip to Exeter.
Great food at Psalters in Dunster but we ate in most other nights. The Budgens at Wheddon Cross was useful for supplies & logs. We can recommend the Miles coffee from there!
Jonathan was v helpful in setting the holiday up & made the process smooth.
A warm and welcoming cottage, with everything that you need. We had a wonderful time and very sad to go home. It was nice to find somewhere lovely and clean, a real home from home. An excellent base to explore Exmoor, which is s beautiful any time of year. We only had one problem with the electricity, but the owner came back really quickly saying that it was a supplier fault and that it was being dealt with. Looking forward to our next holiday there!
