I booked in online and on arrival the check in took much longer than usual. No mention was made of the Good Night Guarantee. The Receptionist was very helpful and worked the lift for us which was just as well as we would still be standing there. The trick is to move your card up and down in the slot several times till two lights turn green.
Room was on third floor, 305, and was gloomy and dark standing as it was in the shade of a large tower block. One of the ceiling lights failed to work so I returned to reception and reported it. Told it would be fixed but it never was. Further one of the lights in the bathroom was out and the fan did not work. Standards certainly slipping.the room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had meal deal first night and found the waiting staff (Friday) were excellent. The mixed grill and the sea bass like wise. I asked the barman for one of the special gin and tonics, a picture of which was displayed in the hotel and he knew nothing about them. I showed him the picture and he cheerfully ordered up the strawberries. He produced a brandy glass and I requested the long stem glass as it was displayed. They had none so I reverted to the standard one. He was a helpful guy and needs to be provided with the tools for the job. Breakfast next morning was fine except for the greasy/ soggy potatoe bakes. They are meant to be crisp on the outside. The decor in the dining room is again in need of a makeover and a good clean with layers of dust on the centre island, glass door filthy.Once more I found the staff to be helpful and professional. Sunday we left hotel at 9 and returned at 3 room not serviced, never had this happen before and once more reported it to reception. We booked the meal deal again and went to restaurant where girl appeared to know nothing about it. I ordered fish again and this time the vegetables were not cooked properly and it was not to Friday nights standard. Had the ice cream sundae but quality of ice cream was very poor. We were the only diners and asked for music to be turned down as it is kept at Staff listening levels. Girl presented us with a bill for meal and once more we told her that we had paid and she had already given us breakfast vouchers. We went with her to reception and guy couldn't seem to find our payment, I offered to go and get iPad and show him receipt!. The girl was a truly dozy member of the team and quite unlike the previous servers. On our arrival she was sat reading our magazines which we had left when waiting for our room to be serviced.Breakfast Monday morning and we departed never to return. There are some really good staff here but clearly poor management. Noticed steady stream of staff availing themself of the coffee machine. We gave up on that as it all came out just above luke warm not anything you want to pay for.We like PI because you get/got the same experience at each hotel but standards have definitely declined to Travel Lodge standards in place years ago. Car park is narrow, we have a Kia Rio which is a small car and just managed. Scrape marks on every turn. They need to put carpet strips on all these walls, a cheap and effective way of protecting clients cars.Choose another hotel .It gets three stars for comfortable bed, the lovely servers Friday night/ Saturday and Monday morning.

Room Tip: They are all gloomy

We had a horse running at Kempton Park and decided to stay the night - hotel was a 10 minute walk to the racecourse. Hotel and facilities were standard for Premier Inn - car park was ok for us as we had a small car but would imagine it would be very difficult to manoeuvre with a bigger vehicle- thought £5 charge was reasonable. All the staff at the hotel were very helpful and pleasant, would have no hesitation in staying again.

If you are not driving a super mini do not even attempt the parking. Premier Inn could at least warn staff about the challenging parking. The family room was a reasonable size. Like most premier Inns the bathroom needs updating
