Staying for two nights, being on a business trip, considering the cost, the overall experience was quite good.
Very friendly staff, very clean place, good food and very nice view, being at the heart of a small and quite city. The "underground" tavern-cellar had quite warm athmosphere worth to go for dinner or just for beer nearby the fire-place.
This hotel looked to be a very good choice for short stay of travellers who explore the beauties of Czech Rep. countryside.

The Hotel Zavis is great for exploring Hluboka nad Vltavou and southern Bohemia. It's about a 20-minute walk down the hill from the chateau and a 25-minute walk from the zoo, which is one of the best ones we've visited in the Czech Republic. The rooms are adequate and clean, though nothing special and the restaurant, again, provides everything you need, including a small kids' play corner, though nothing more. Parking is available at no cost.

The hotel doesn't have much in terms of amenities, but the reception can reserve spa treatments or use of the pool at one of the nearby hotels.

We would definitely recommend this place if you don't want to pay for one of the pricier options in town.
