For some reason I imagined this place as a bit old & dated, hence I had never visited although living nearby for seven years..!?
But - the only restaurant open a tuesday night (why is that?) - I booked for a dinner with a business guest.
And what a pleasant surprise!
- Entered a fresh and tidy restaurant with the period features intact. Immediately taken care of by the friendly and houmorous staff. Spot on! That’s the spirit!
Enough to choose from even though a quite small menue. We went both for the roe, then fish / pork, finishing off with chocolate / cheese.
Halleluja! Generous quenelles of the exclusive roe on a crispy tarte of grated potatoes. Splendid!
Fantastic fish on one side of the table, & a slow-cooked shoulder of pork on mine, lacking nothing.
The desserts didn’t dissapoint us either.
Not even checking out was not unpleasant - very resonable price for such ambitious chef!
Thanks a lot! See You soon.
