We were full of expectations to try NR. 1 in Stará Ľubovňa,but its not worth it. Overcrowded place with slow service and really weak food. I have tried dumplings and bean soup, both traditional slovak food and it was really terrible, soup with pieces of hard meat, dumplings also not good. I cant understand who can like this restaurant. We wont come back for sure.

I know this restaurant ages. I wasn’t here really long about 5 years maybe but I still can say nothing changed. Food still delicious like before, staff nice and friendly.! Me and my family we really enjoyed our dinner here. Hopefully will be back soon.

We both chose Slovak meals. Wife had sausage and sauerkraut... I had the fried pork and pancake.
Wife thought it was the best sauerkraut she had had... She is Dutch... So knows such things.
It was delicious... As was the alcohol free beer.

I have visited this restaurant many times and I like the esthetic part and also the food. Once a year I always stop there for typical Slovak food. If you are nearby you should really go there and have a try :-)

We have chosen this place because of it's high ranking. But we were bit disappointed. Although we were served rather quickly despite of large number of guests, meals were just average. Soups were not hot enough, Stroganoff was made from chicken meat and dumplings were made from flour (without required potatoes). Pop drinks were only bottled and only one sort of beer was available. But staff was kind and prices affordable. Otherwise it will be 2 stars only.
