I love this place so much I never wanted to leave. Everything about it is perfect to me. The owner and the employees are so nice, from the receptionist to the security guard to the cooks and cleaning ladies. I've never wanted to stay at a place longer as much as I did this hotel/hostel. The pizzas and breakfast is amazing. Perfect place to stay in Villa De Leyva.

It's such a nice hostel, staff is really friendly, cheerful and helpful. It's clean, the dorm where we stayed was really specious and the beds were huge and comfy. They also have an amazing common area which is huge and it overlooks the town. The views are stunning. The only negative is a bad internet.

The hostel is slightly out of town, you have to take a taxi if you have luggage (about £2 equivalent) but you can walk down a stony path direct into town (about 20-25 mins - uphill walk going back). Set on a hillside overlooking the town, with as its name suggests a peaceful atmosphere. You can sleep in an airy dorm which one of us did, the bunk beds were large and comfortable. I had a very large private room overlooking the town and hills beyond, and spacious bathroom. It's not luxury accommodation, some cracks in the basin, and no hot water which seems par for the course at cheaper accommodation in Colombia but the weather was warm so it didn't matter so much though would have been nice. Breakfast was lovely - fruit, fresh rolls, coffee, and you can help yourselves to hot drinks any time, also use the kitchen - we made ourselves omelette and corn pancakes with fresh produce bought very cheaply in the town. There weren't many people staying when we were there so it was very quiet and peaceful, we had a very pleasant and tranquil couple of nights there.
