I stayed here with my family (4 of us total) this past July and it was fantastic! Definitely consider staying here if you visit Villa de Leyva.
Its about a 10 minute walk from town, but the walk is extremely safe and actually quite nice as a way to see the rest of town (besides just the square). As a plus, there's also a couple of great panaderias (bakeries) on the way back!
The family who runs the place is extremely nice and accommodating. We went during a time of year that is relatively quiet in Villa de Leyva, and it was nice to have a beautiful place to return to with great gardens and even ping pong and billiards! The room was clean and very charming (not a lot of water pressure in the showers, but there was always hot water!).
The breakfast was delicious, usually eggs made to order, some delicious fresh juices, and fresh fruit! Also, you must try the hot chocolate! Its amazing!
The owner of the hotel was extremely helpful in helping us plan out and arrange transport to a couple of day trip locations. We ended up going to the pottery village of Raquira, the nearby Augustine monastery, the town of Sutamarchan (known for its Longaniza sausage), and the Villa de Leyva winery all in one day.
