Eventhough we ended up here because our first choice was closed, we are very happy that we did. The owners are very friendly, hard working people who are very keen on making you happy.

As a starter we had the ravioli with pesto. A recipe passed on from generation to generation, as a wedding gift from (grand)mother to daughter. This specific recipe was her grandma's. What a nice way to keep someone's spirit alive through food.

For our main course we had the wild boar and polenta. Amazing. After the dinner, which we enjoyed very much, the nice owner showered us with his own production of grappa and limoncello. We highly recommend you to go here.

This felt like an authentic Italian dining experience. They do not speak English, all the other diners were Italian and gave the impression of being locals. If more than one person orders something then it comes in a big bowl and you serve yourself from this. The tagliatelle with mushrooms was quite nice. The wild boar was tasty but the accompanying polenta was not very interesting to eat. The fried chicken was crispy and tasty but full of small bones and hard to eat.
We enjoyed the experience but the food was disappointing compared to the many good reviews. Maybe we just made poor choices or went on the wrong day.

My mother and I stumbled upon this restaurant quite by accident. There were only Italians eating here. We were greeted and welcomed by the lovely lady of the house. The card is small with only a few dishes to choose from, so very fresh and very local! Had some great wine that was very cheap. We had a lovely pasta for primo (I had hazelnut tagliatelle with gorgonzola sauce). The secundo was also great: roast beef with some grilled vegetables. The dolces looked delicious but we were full, unfortunately. I asked about the grappas and got three different kinds to taste, 2 of them home made. What a great experience.

Loved our meal here. We shared the antipasto, husband had a pasta and I had a stew with polenta and shared some grilled vegetables.

The food was delicious. Outstanding quality of produce that has been perfectly put together.

We don't speak Italian and the waitress brought out the cook who spoke excellent English. She was so lovely explained the menu to us (which was hand written and sounded like changes nearly daily which I think is awesome) We had great conversations with her and she was very good to our son.

I am Gluten Free and they were very accommodating. She told me what I couldn't have on the antipasto plate and then what mains were okay. She brought out some GF crackers too to go with the antipasto.

The other patrons were also so friendly and we chatted to them too.

We had a great meal, excellent service and unforgettable experience. Thank you!
