He give's you very good information about they Island Madeira
I like to briefly summarize the impressions we collected during a two weeks stay at Villamar.
-- First of all the villa is in perfect condition
-- The owner was very responsive as a technical problem with the water pressure was observed. It was fixed immediately.
Nevertheless there were two points which were disappointing:
1. The description of the house does not resemble the environment respectively location accurately. It is in direct neighbourhood of some houses whith residents who provide significant noise level. In addition there is a large greenhouse area underneath the location. The workers there played music most of the day which might be disturbing.
2. There is a newly built house with active construction site (Jun 2016) just behing Villamar which produced a heavy noise level from cutting tools, pneumatic drills etc. Music reproduction from a radio completed the scenario.
So, there are mixed impressions:
The owner is extremly responsive and we were able to address with him the noise issues in an effective way. On the other hand, the negative effect of the construction site was underestimated. I believe after having finalized the house nearby you can experience a good time if you are not necessarily expecting a very quiet place. The house is definitely in very good new condition which is a clear benefit compared to many other holiday homes. The city Ribiera Brava is very nice. You can experience perfect evenings in the restaurants close to the coast.
Celio is a great host and he's got a wonderful house. We arrived around 10 PM and he waited for us to hand us the keys and do a thorough tour of the house. He also gave us a lot of tips regarding what needs to be visited around. I really enjoyed the fact that there were plenty of guides and maps along his slides with the most important sights on the island.
Celio was in contact with us throughout the whole period making sure we're OK and checking if we needed anything.
The house is lovely, with a large garage where you can safely park your car (you don't have to keep it on the street). The living room is spacious with a large TV and a nice sound system. The kitchen is very well equipped and you have access to both a stunning terrace with a sea view (in the front) and the barbecue area in the back - where you have a second gas cooker.
There are also three bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms (even one with a Jacuzzi tub) so this is the ideal place to go either with friends, kids or just for a very romantic escape.
It's definitely one of the best places where you can enjoy Madeira at its fullest whilst feeling like you're at home.

One of the best holiday rentals I have been in. Quality house from top to bottom. From the automatic gate and garage door, to the immaculate wooden floors, great kitchen and BBQ, tastefully decorated living room and bedrooms, to the balconies with fantastic views. Both Magarida (the key keeper) and Celio (the owner) very friendly and helpful. Ribiera Brava is a great place to stay, away from tourists, but close to the motorway so that most of the island can be reached in 20-40 mins. Recommend Muralha Grill (by the beach, on the way up the hill) and Dorisol Pousada dos Vinhaticos on the way to Encuameada.
Thanks for a great stay - see you again.
