Starlight is, at least in our opinion, a stellar B&B. We were greeted warmly, given a great tour of the place and, the following morning, served a fantastic breakfeast. The house is clean, the beds are comfortable and the amenities are more than adequate. We look forward to staying Starlight again sometime!!!!

The Starlight certainly had a pleasing ambience. The proprietor, Belle, is highly organized and is an excellent breakfast chef.
The house is immaculately clean and tidy and guests are given helpful suggestions as to how to keep the place shipshape.
It is easy to find, about halfway between Meaford and Thornbury (maybe a 5 minute drive to either town). The B and B is on Highway 26 but far enough away so there is no road noise. The views toward the bay and lake are gorgoeus, especially in autumn (when we had the pleasure of staying there).
It is not wheelchair accessible.
The ambience is improved by the owner's penchant for soothing classical music and the ready supply of a variety of excellent books.
Belle is very welcoming, friendly and easy to talk with. She is well informed and educated on many levels, especially Canadiana writers, sculptors and artists.
She cooks a very nutritious, tasty and satisfying breakfast too.
Yes, I would certainly stay there again.

Room tip: the smaller room is fine

It's a two bedroom B&B right on highway 26 between Thornbury and Meaford.
Pros: Two large bedrooms on the second floor with about 15 feet ceilings. The house is pristine clean, Well stocked bathroom. Plenty of towels. Robes are available. The bedding is very good. Backdoor patio is facing forest and it's quite nice. Good hearty breakfast. Area information is very comprehensive and helpful. 2 bikes are offered.

Cons: The cons in the case are quite subjective, and I fully expect that some people can see it as pros.
Location: Middle of nowhere. At least 6km to the closest beach and restaurants. Too close to highway 26, which is a bit disturbing especially in the morning.
Service: The host make you feel that you are not in a hotel, but visiting a remote family you wish you never had. Upon arrival you have 15 minutes lecture about the house and the house rules. The breakfast is like family event where she is joining guests and leading the conversation asking a lot of personal details. She is also joined us for one evening when we were sitting by the fire and drinking wine. She is probably bored from living alone and like some social interaction, but it's not what I paid for.
House rules: There are a few, but for one, she is turning off WiFi when SHE is going to sleep.
