Review of The Cheese Gallery

The Cheese Gallery
Ranked #5 of 18 Restaurants in Thornbury
Description: The Cheese Gallery is a gourmet cheese shop that features cheeses from Ontario, Canada and around the world. Highlighting local artists that work in a variety of mediums, we offer a unique experience. Enjoy our Cheese Tasting Plate for 2 at the bar paired with a local wine from Georgian Hills or Coffin Ridge. Our lounge offers cozy chairs to sip tea, and enjoy a fresh croissant.

It's small, nice place, has a small but a good selection of cheese and some bake goods with coffee. Was expecting
a wow factor but that didn't happen. Price is a bit more expensive as expected. It still a nice place to drop in for a quick pick up of a cup of coffee and some bake goods if you are in the area.

I have wanted to visit for years .... and finally did this weekend. Amazing cheese and charcuterie plate prepared after they ask a few questions to determine your preferences. Crisp local ciders. Great atmosphere. What a gem!!

The Cheese Gallery is more a coffee shop with the cheese section at the back of the shop; definitely not what I was expecting from the name.

Overpriced at $16. for 6 items; a Skor and lemon bar (satisfactory), 2 Linzer cookies (very good), pumpkin tart (delicious) and a totally horrible tasting inedible butter tart.

Guess it makes sense for the cashier to bypass a waiting new customer to serve two regulars with coffee cards. After all, one was going to Toronto (also MY destination) and the other was off to a class!

Never again. I’ll stick to the busy Thornbury Bakery right across the street.

Just discovered this great little gem on Bruce. Great place for delicious sweets, a light lunch, a latte or specialty coffee drink and of course, some wonderful cheese offerings.
