la revue qui suit est ecrite en anglais car francais vivant au royaume uni et de souche vosgienne, il m'importe de promouvoir ma region aupres de la clientele britanique. This place represents the true character of my home region and it does matter to promote it towards the british at every opportunity. It is a great place for those keen in hicking and mountain biking as these activities are on the doorstep. You will find a good welcome in a great surrounding in a very peaceful and scenic location. The menu has everything to satisfy the most demanding but represents the true identity of the region as you will find in it the best that it has to offer. The dinning room is very welcoming and typical of the mountain style of the region. You cannot go wrong ordering the local specialities. If you can, in the summer book a table on the terrace or the veranda. If you are more inclined to winter sports, this hostelry is very conveniently located near to the main skiing resort of La Schlucht. Waiting is good. I know this place for many years and have never been disappointed by it come winter or summer. I recommend it in full knowledge of what it is.

Stayed 1 night here at the end of April, it's away from the road making it feel like a mountain hut in the Alps. The rooms are quite basic and a bit dated but this does add to the charm. Everything was very clean.
Mixed feelings about the restaurant. Where the food had been homemade it was great but this was added to by tinned, watery vegetables which let it down. Breakfast was copious if limited to bread, cake, juice and coffee. Would stay again
