My husband and I stayed here for a relaxing weekend right before Holy Week in mid-March 2005. We picked this place based on recommendations from guidebooks. We were not disappointed. The place was quiet the first day we got there. We had the small lovely pool with a bridge all to ourselves. The rooms are decorated elegantly. We had a four poster bed in ours. The bathrooms had lovely tiled shower stalls. Breakfast is cooked in the outdoor kitchen. The staff is very friendly. They have binders of local menus and an extensive activity book. I read for hours on the rocking chair in the outdoor patio. There are no phone or TV in the rooms.
The beach (Ocotal) is within walking distance down a steep hill. We were lazy and drove down the hill instead and paid the "security" person to watch the car. Honesty, we liked hanging out at the pool better! Coco Beach is a short drive (10mins) away for the more typical tourist shops and restaraunt. The Villa is in a gated community with Ocotal Resort and other private homes.
All in all, this is a great B&B for couples and families alike.
