“Migratory Bird path”

Isola di Capo Passero
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Can only be reached by boat most of the time. If you feel adventurous you can walk "across the water " to the main land if you know the tides ect. It is a castle left over from times gone by when Sicily was ruled by kings. Isola Di Capo Passero, means literally "island of the main passage" referring to the migration path of birds from Africa. The Island is a sanctuary for wildlife.
