The vibe and atmosphere in the restaurant gives you high expectations, and you really want everything to be amazing. But it’s not...
Service was great, place is beautiful, but:
Burrata appetizer was below average. The Burrata was lacking the flavor and creaminess you expect in Italy, and pairing it with anchovies wasn’t a wise choice in my opinion. The cheese smelled like anchovies!
The pulpo appetizer was excellent.
Seafood pasta, their special, was very good but unfortunately too salty (and I like salty!).
Fiorentina steak was a big disappointment, meat was over cooked (medium-well) and dry.
Desert, chocolate soufflé, was also over cooked, and there was no sign of the melting chocolate in the center. They took it off our bill.
Looking at other reviews we had higher expectations. Either the chef was on vacation, they were having an off night, or the place is overrated.
Most other tables had pizza which seemed to be popular, we didn’t try.
