Lovely village, warm people, and a beautiful vacation rental! Oravasky Hrad and Zuberec were perfect day trips. A stroll and a visit to the pub two doors down completed our evenings. One of the best and most memorable parts of our trip to Slovakia from the US. Thank you Mikolaj!
Partizanska Lupca is a beautiful, peaceful, not touristy village in the Liptov plain at the foot of the Low Tatras, and within easy reach of the other national parks (Western Tatras - 30 minutes; High Tatras - 1 hour; Mala Fatra - 1 hour). The apartment is cosy but comfortable, with space outside, a barbecue, & trampoline for children, and it made a good base for exploring the whole region. The village is a lot more characterful and pleasant than the standardised chalets in the ski resorts like Jasna. Mikolaj was extremely helpful with advice and assistance & the wi-fi worked fine. Tatra mountains and forest are an absolute paradise for walking with very accessible trails - managed great walks with our 15-year old and 8-year old. Good swimming spots on the north side of the lake near the pleasant town of Litovsky Mikulas.
