Everyone says this is the best restaurant to go visit if one is in Leticia and wants to go to Tabatinga in "Brazil." If that's the case, and you are really dying to say I went to Brazil, then Tres Fronteiras is OK.

We found the food to be just OK. Not bad, but certainly not great and certainly not very flavorful. Quantities are huge! Prices are very reasonable.

My wife and I enjoyed a pretty decent lunch at Tres Fronteiras. The restaurant is situated in a residential neighborhood of the Brazilian town, Tabatinga. There are not too many sit-down type restaurants to choose from in Tabatinga, but Tres Fronteiras is one of them. The restaurant is open air, and surrounded by garden plants and other vegetation. It is a peaceful, relaxing place to enjoy lunch.

For 80 Reals ($25 US), we enjoyed a full lunch. My steak was tasty and tender, and complimented with a tasty soup and salad. Topped off with a litre of beer and a cocktail, the lunch truly hit the spot.

The service was friendly and prompt.

This is a place to go, they offer Peruvian, Colombian and Brazilian options in their menu.

The place is beautiful although is hard to find when you are walking from Leticia (as we did). I recommend you to take a 'moto taxi' that around $8000 pesos drives you there.

The waiter wasn't very friendly, but the food was very good and arrived very fast. You can plan a family dinner or a romantic one there. There is plenty of space for any type of group or occasion.

Variety of food, good, but not outstanding. Service is slow to be a buffet. We were part of special tour. Not sure if they have other options. In Brasil and no coffee!

Tres Fronteiras is the only normal restaurant. On the Brazilian side of the border.

As such it is the best, obviously. And it is the only one that is open during first weekdays.

Been there twice on a Wednesday and was the only guest. Nevertheless they served a tasty caldeirada, the famous fish soup.

You can work, it's only two blocks off the main road. Taxis are Mototaxi, quite an experience.
