We had communicated with the hotel time etc we would get there, when we arrived there was no one around, we shouted, rang the front door bell, in the end had to phone them to come & see to us. Then we were asked what room we were in, we had booked it a while ago & were walking for charity to Lands End so had been in a dif place every night... as the owner surely he should know from the name who he’s booked in what room. He left us for another 20 mins to find his “check in”book which he found in the laundry hamper!!! It was all a little weird. Basically this hotel seems to be used by contractors working in the area, that’s why they can charge what they want as most people aren’t paying. We had gone to bed & then there was a knock on the door about 10pm asking us to pay!!!
Having said that it was clean & comfy enough eventually when we did sort our room out were were given a cold drink which was thoughtful.

The room was clean, neat and tidy. I particularly liked the white brick tiling in the bathroom. I had a good night's sleep but did notice that there is traffic noise and that there are no blackout linings/blinds behind the curtains. However, a sleep mask and ear plugs would sort this out easily if, indeed, it is a problem.

There is a good car park.

Breakfast is, indeed, extra but the cooked breakfast is served hot which often not the case in other establishments.

Overall, well, I have booked to stay there again. That should sum it up nicely.

We where stuck in traffic and ahead to say we would be late on arrival we where refused entry so had to book another hotel the next day we where told that the manager had told the girl not to wait for u,i have been in many hotels in my life some very good and some not so good this is the first time i have felt the need to write a review as i would hate anyone else to have to go through what we went through, the manager was very rude and swore at us when we asked for a refund! i am totally disgusted and would tell every to avoid like the plague.

Booked family room for £80 thinking breakfast would be included at that price but it wasn’t. Breakfast was charged at £7.50 per adult and £5 per child which I thought was expensive given the price of the room for the night. Room was right next to the busy main road so quite noisy all through the night. Room itself was big enough but bathroom smelt of sewage when you ran the tap! Hotel is advertised as having a bar and restaurant but on arrival we were told neither of these were open! Apparently don’t open them because they’re not busy in winter! (This was July and they were fully booked)
Not what I was hoping for when I booked sadly

Was met by a jovial chap, who was very accommodating, the bedding room and bathroom were clean with nice personal touches, the choice of beige carpet makes the room light but is liable to show marks.
New bathroom shower with thermostatic shower and spanking clean cubicle and facilities.
Had to leave before breakfast, the dining area looked nice, there is a common lounge which looks comfortable, but I was too tired to try this out.
