I stayed here with my extended family for a week in mid-May. The bottom line is I would highly advise staying away from this property until Covid is in distant rear-view.

The restrictions on St. Kitts were already that we were not permitted to leave the resort grounds. This was ultimately fine because the staff is great, the property is expansive, their food is good, and you can order delivery from local grocery stores and restaurants.

However, with 2.5 days left in our stay, a worker at the hotel tested positive for Covid and they put the whole hotel on lockdown. Even after our party tested negative we were not allowed to leave our rooms. Compounding the matter, the adjoining timeshare property was not shut down, so we had to watch them all roaming around freely despite the fact that they had been at the pool and restaurants in the hotel and intermingling the whole week.

The hotel did not offer any compensation even though none of the amenities that we paid for were available to us for 2.5 days.

While a lot of these issues were due to regulations from the island, keep in mind that if you book this property before the world has escaped Covid you run the risk of being the one to bear the burden if they don't provide the services that you bought.

This is an update to my review from December. That was not really a review of the resort.

My husband and I traveled to St Kitts mid May.
We knew that we could not leave the resort and that was OK. It did get a bit tiring not being able to run across the street to the grocery store.

The resort is nice. We own a week at a Marriott and have stayed in other international Marriott properties so knew what to expect.

The web said all restaurants were open. That's a little stretch. LaCucina was open only part of the week in the evening. Fire was open 2 nights only.
The pool bar opens at 11 :00 and not sure how late open but generally seems to match when people are getting out of the pool for the day.
The pizza place seemed to be open each evening.
The lobby bar opens at 5:00 and has a bar menu. That is also where the sushi restaurant is located. It opens at 5:00 as well.

The market opens around 10:00 but not on time. They close at 5. I never really figured out the hours for the Duty Free liquor shop... But we were able to buy some wine there.

There is another boutique behind the liquor store.
The jewelry store opens at 10:00, I believe. They have great prices by the way.

You can order groceries from shopexpressskb. Com.
The prices are comparable to Ramstogo.

Some restaurants deliver, some don't.

The beach has Sargassum Seaweed so just be aware. The resort tries to clear it up.

There are 3 pools so you have your choice.

The staff is wonderful. Simeon was terrific and helped us with the fire pit. There are 2 and the one on backside near the ocean was the favorite especially since it had more chairs.

Would we go back? Maybe as a stop on a catamaran charter next year. We don't usually go back places. We would like to have seen the whole island and that's the biggest reason to go back.

We would say go at least once.. Even if restricted to the resort. As one person put it... It was forced relaxation.

I can't find a place on TripAdvisor to write a review of the Island of St Kitts so the place where you we were to stay will have to suffice.
I'm sure this is a delightful resort. They were as helpful as possible however the Ministry of Defense for St Kitts is terrible.

We took our Covid test on Dec 23 and were negative. We uploaded everything and received an email stating it had been received but not official. On December 24 after no response we called the number on our email and got a voice mail, left a message. We then called the resort and they said it may take a day. On Christmas morning after no email we called both the number on the email and the resort. The lady at the resort was truly kind and said she would call someone and ring us back shortly. After several hours we had heard nothing and tried calling back. Sadly and no fault of anyone at resorts but we could no longer call international or longer distance due to the RV bomb in Nashville.

We emailed the resort and later heard back that someone had looked at our paperwork and it looked fine, we should get an email later that night or by early morning.
When we got to the airport at 6:30, in the morning on December 26 we were denied boarding without the official QR code.
We still couldn't call international. We watched our email until the last minute and made a last minute change. We are in Cancun.

My suggestion is go to Aruba if you want to go to Caribbean. They have their act together.

As I stated earlier it's not the Marriott's issue, we own Marriott week. I just needed a place to express the frustration and warn other of the inefficiency of the Ministry of Defense in St Kitts.

By the way, Interval changed our week we were using to a later date in spring to St Kitts. I'm not sure we will try again.

If traveling I'm sure this is a great resort but if insure of St kitts think about the process and its failure. We are out $190 each on Covid tests.

This vacation was great. Lots of pools, pool volleyball, swim up bar. It was overall a great vacation except for the 5 1/2 hour flight. The sunsets were gorgeous, and if you are staying here, do the volcano hike with O’Neil Jr.

Family trip, great pool for the little ones and the adults. Beach access with covered tables and chairs on the beach. Water was nice but more rough on this side of the island. The hotel food grab and go options were nice and fresh. The casino was very clean, not too busy, and odds were good at the blackjack table the night I was there. Every night at the pool there is some kind of activity, mainly for families with children. The hotel allowed venders at a particular time of the day, which is nice. The rooms were very nice and spacious. The bathroom and shower was area was large. Coffee maker and small refrigerator in the room. We had a large balcony facing the pool and ocean. Walking distance to a strip of stores and a couple of eateries down the street. Lastly, the staff was amazing. They were all very very kind. Overall, this is a great place to stay when visiting St. Kitts and you want some peaceful relaxation.
