We stayed in Marigot Bay for 2 weeks, and were thrilled to discover Masala Bay restaurant. On our first visit, my husband and I were with our daughter and 3 of her friends. Most of us are not that familiar with Indian cuisine, but one of the girls is of Indian heritage and helped us all with the menu selections (it is actually a fusion menu of Indian and Chinese Hakka cuisine). The food was a big hit! We loved that they served small, complimentary bites to start. The background music is appealing, the restaurant decor is warm and welcoming and very colorful. The restaurant is on the second level overlooking the dock with a lovely outside balcony. The girls loved it so much they requested a return visit on their final night and we returned the following week with our son. Our favorite dishes were the samosa chat and prawn appetizers, the butter chicken, stir fry fish, hakka noodles. Vegetable croquettes in the cashew sauce were amazing. I was not as much a fan of the vegetable dumplings. My husband ordered the kheer for dessert every time -- his favorite! We were there on the night of their one year anniversary where they handed out bangle bracelets and candies. We were very warmly greeted with each visit, and the cook came around to all the tables checking on our happiness. We had a great experience there.
