First of all this restaurant is on the sea front of Port Joinville, the capital of Ile d'Yeu. Look at the map and the name of this town doesn't even appear. One of the rainy summer evenings, we were late ( 9.30 PM) had no reservations and no place to go. Someone suggested la Plancha du Pêcheur. The welcome was lovely, excellent cider was poured instantly an the fish and chips were a real pleasure. This is no burger place and the fish is really good, finger licking good, but for real. Avoid the many expensive tourist traps around and wait in line if you have to. The place is good and we went back the following evening to eat the same...fish and chips !
