We made a reservation for a twin bed ensuite bathroom, the price was 150. Once arrived exhausted from the hike we discovered that the reservation did not come through. We where forced up take a twin room, public bathroom. The price was nice; 80. But the shower was alfull, exept for the hot water every thing was alfull. No light, no hanger, and a broken shower head, very dirty. The public toilets are also very Chineese, so good luck. Try to stay in a room with ensuite bathroom is my advice, although over priced.

The food is decent and the location with the view is stunning.

Generous charming ownners (we got a free pancake desert for a birthday celebration) majestic view from restaurant rooftop and rooms balcony, great rooms, great food. Though another two hour walk after the first night stop option, it is definitely worth the extra effort.

The guesthouse is ideally located on the track and provides very acceptable accommodation, Rooms were basic but clean, although the bathrooms could do with some work. But you have to remember that the location is pretty remote. The staff were friendly, helpful and very hard working, and the food was terrific, could not fault it. We ate with a large group of travellers on the terrace and every meal was great.

This is a far better location thanTina's which is pretty sterile and has nowhere near the amazing views. At Halfway you can reach out and touch the inreadible peaks. The deck has absolutely unsurpassable views, the best of the walk. A beautiful spot.

I actually thought the place was reasonably priced. Our booking was mishandled by Yunnan Travel and the Guesthouse was looking to charge us 150RMB for a double with an ensuite. Yunnan Travel however, charged us 300 RMB for the same room. We could not get a refund from - beware do not use Yunnan Travel for your booking.

We rated the Guesthouse as excellent for what is was, and for where it was, and would absolutely recommend it. We had a very memorable stay and absolutely enjoyed our overnight stay there.

The guest house came as a welcome home for the evening after a long days hike. The tiger leaping gorge walk is amazing and well worth the challenge. The room was a little basic but the bed was clean. The bathroom was a little less clean but functional and when you consider where in the world you are and what the local residents have its more than adequate. The food was good also and a reasonable price (try the apple pie!). The views are just amazing and make this guesthouse a perfect retreat.

They know their business! This place is very busy as it is extremely well situated in Tiger Leaping Gorge, almost an obligatory stop if you do it in 2 or 3 days.
That means:
- rooms are overpriced
- the staff is very unfriendly and unhelpful
- food is pretty bad ( stick to fried rice and fried vegetables).
- it's all about the money here!

That said, yes the surroundings are gorgeous.
It is a shame it's that way and avoid the place if possible, either by staying at Tea Horse GH before or at Tina's GH after. They both are a 2hrs walk either way.
