Arrived late at night - room (so called apartment) dirty, mattresses very un-comfy, no under sheets or under pillow slips, filthy spare pillow in wardrobe which we threw outside, we lived out our suitcases as everything so dirty. Toilet brush was vile, as were bins, which didn't look as if they had been washed for years. T.V never worked properly, the broken tiles on the floor were an absolute accident waiting to happen.
Restaurant - Self service buffet, food was cooked nicely and there was a good variety and choice. Staff were good, helpful and friendly. The second restaurant was never opened, as it was the end of season.
Drinks - terrible - soft drinks were not good, as they didn't taste of what they should have done, in fact this was the same with the extremely cheap, nasty alcohol, metaxa was definitely watered down. My husband only drinks soft drinks and only drank the fizzy lemon or coffee. I only drank water and coffee, as the alcohol was so bad.You could not even buy branded drinks. All inclusive drinks stopped at 11.00p.m. To buy drinks after this time was fairly expensive.
Pool bar - friendly staff, drinks as bad, even served in plastic cups so small that they should have been used for children, The reason for this was because it was the end of season and management wouldn't buy any large plastic glasses. Bar snacks should have been sandwiches, hotdogs, a good variety, but we got a type of sausage roll. Cake for afternoon tea was the reat of the cake left over from breakfast. Again, this was because it was the end of season. Had to pay to use the worst pool table, we had ever seen. We didn't bother.
Pool - lovely pool, plenty of comfy loungers.
Grounds - very pretty and lush, well maintained.
Beach - right opposite hotel and very peaceful, with lovely sea.
Achavari - a bus ride away, it was O.K, but all tavernas were the same food, no particularly fine dining restaurants, or sea food restaurants.
Hotel is quiet, unspoilt area of Corfu, which we really appreciated.
Entertainment - so aweful, it was hilarious, although some nights there was none, as it was the end of the season.
The hotel was dirty, in the rooms. The accommodation needed desperately refurbishing inside and out, top to toe. The main reception and restaurant were O.K.
The towels were clean, although had some stains on. I checked as everything was dirty, I wanted to ensure at least the towels were clean.
One day we returned to the room and one of our towels had a large poo stripe on it. We went to reception and complained, but nobody did anything. The next day, the same thing happened, Again we complained, but nothing happened. After this experience it made me anxious as to what may happen next and I couldn't relax and it made me scared and tearful.
This hotel could have been lovely, as in a great pace, lovely grounds, but it has been left to become dlaoidated and almost unfit for use.
