Great hotel in great location to explore the área which has many interesting villages and towns.
Great staff at hotel who were friendly and helpful. Comfortable hotel and really good food.
Only 2km from Orgiva which is workable if you have a sense of adventure (a little uphill going but downhill coming back).

What a beautiful place. It was a great spot from which to tour the Alpujarra.
We stayed for seven days and never tired of the view. Just sitting outside our room reading while occasionally glancing up at the Sierra Nevada continually delivered the warmth of contentment.
We ate there once. The food was good but I can't deny being put off by the waiter's ciggy seemingly always between his hands and mouth.
The worst part of the hotel was that the hotel pool never seemed clean - the water was always cloudy. It must have been time for a new, bigger filter.
The best part was the owners' daughter, Elizabeth, who was unerringly helpful and spoke great English.
We'd go back.
While touring the South of Spain we spent two nights at this hotel. Scenic Mountain View’s complimented by nice garden areas which I am sure are even better in the spring and summer.Rooms although they include a small sitting room fall short, very basic and could use updating . Room was not very clean , even bed covers were stained. Bathroom includes a pseudo shower area that is inconvenient to use.
Food at the restaurant was OK but nothing special. Service was friendly and attentive

Would love to share our experience with readers. We had booked a double room in the hotel taray for 2 nights . On our arrival we were greeted by Elisabeth a pleasant , charming young lady from Barcelona. She asked if it was our first time in the area, we explained that we knew the area very well but it was our first time to stay in the hotel taray. We were upgraded to a suite. Well, the suite was truly amazing , enormous, modern and overlooking the beautiful garden and the 2 swimming pools . It was stunning .
The staff in the bar, reception and restaurants were charming and attentive. If we return again we will definitely be staying in the hotel taray and will be booking the suite. Thank you so much for our lovely 2 nights stay .

Firstly the positives include clean rooms, a nice surrounding and access to a good swimming pool. The staff definitely tried, but left the impression at times that they were not clear who was in charge. The food was very poor. Egg and chips as a vegetarian main course option was all they could offer on our first night. A vegetarian variation on the chicken risotto was beyond the imagination of the chef. If the hotel was in town, instead of a 2.5 km drive away, the shambolic cuisine could be easily overlooked.
We last had a meal here two or three years ago, and it was wonderful. The menu was a choice of two dishes for each of three courses, and they were all delicious - not at all Spanish, but more Asian-influenced. We tried all six dishes and the meal was a joy and very inexpensive. Last week we returned; it was a huge disappointment. Back to the usual Spanish menu, and I'm afraid, not well-cooked. Two chicken fillets - one almost raw, the other cooked to death! We were surprised to be the only people eating in the restaurant, whereas last time it was full. Now we know why. Such a shame! Get back the previous chef, please!
