An old cathedral of the British era, or precisely World War 2. The architecture is quite amazing. It has started to erode but still a nice place to visit.

It is one of the very old construction of British era. Constructed as per Naga style architecture and has unique design. It is easily seen on skyline at night..very beautiful decorations of light at night can be seen. Located near main road. Google directions & location given are correct.Car parking is available. Beautiful church inside depicting various Christian values. One of the must visit at Kohima.

The Cathedral is a huge contemporary church with a seating capacity of 3000 set in a semi circle. It was constructed mainly through contributions from Japan as a memorial of WW2 and has been used for reconciliation meetings between Japanese and British veterans who fought during the war. It is relatively unadorned for a Catholic church but none the worse for it. It is very peaceful but as the roof is corrugated metal it must be incredibly noisy when it rains! There are great views over the city from outside.

A must visit place in Kohima, the structural design attracts me from every angle . One can’t stop himself from taking snaps . We enjoyed the flora and fauna around the church .
