So far the most strange market ever seen in my lifetime. A very different place. You can find a variety of things right from new veggies to fishes, insects, frogs, etc.

Closes by 4 o’clock in the afternoon; sometimes 5. The shops aren’t that great as you’d expect in a tourist place. One time visit is enough. Little bit pricey.

Do try some of the food you get in Kohima. I personally recommend silkworms. They taste amazing and make for a good combination with a cup of rice beer.

Naga markets are quite different from other, many varieties of green vegetables , roots and fruits. Spices , types of meat and dry fishes. All ways markets are full of crowd. Traditional dresses, farming equipment’s, flowering and show plants are for sale in the market. The market is colourful and full of enthusiasm.
