The view is the best reason for staying at the hotel, as it's magnificent. Breakfasts are ok, a reasonable selection from a buffet, although the selection does not vary. We had one dinner at the hotel which was not good: fried chicken filet and fried potatoes. The chicken was very dry and very tough and after that one experience the first night we did not eat lunch or dinner at the hotel again. Other Tripadvisor reviews have mentioned the privacy issue. The balconies are big and provide an uninterrupted view over Kalamata town, the bay and beyond. However, if one stands at the balcony railing and looks back one can see directly into the adjoining room. Also, as the hotel faces west it gets the afternoon sun straight on to the balcony where there is no shade at all. The situation is the same at the swimming pool level; the parasols are not effective against the slanting sunshine. The staff are very nice and helpful, although no one ever offered to help us taking our suitcases from the car when we arrived, or to the car when we checked out. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and tidy.More
