We stumbled across this restaurant purely by accident whilst looking for a lunchtime option. The outside looked smart and the menu extensive. We were efficiently sat in a very pretty outside courtyard area with parasols. We spoke in Italian and ordered our food in Italian with the waiter who was polite if somewhat perfunctory. The food arrived, very disappointing pizza for my son but the Costa Smerelda my daughter ordered was the best dish she ate whilst in Sicily and we had some fantastic food. The mood changed when a large tummied man in a T shirt arrived closely followed by a smart man with a briefcase who started going through papers and his tablet with him. The waiting staff were very attentive towards them and were asked to fully advise them of everything we'd eaten and whether we'd ordered wine or not. My daughter who was facing them felt very intimidated with their nodding at us and laughing which the waiting staff and other members of the kitchen staff seemed to be involved in. Our original waiter looked a little uncomfortable as I guess he knew we understood a fair amount of Italian. After the suited man had left the T shirted man remained closely scrutinising us. We finished out meal and paid the bill in cash not wanting to stay for desert, as we left the waiting staff handed over about 10 Euro's of our bill to the T shirted man. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.
