The hotel is situated on the most beautiful and famous street in Osuna. A wonderful building but in need of some updating inside to rate as 4 star accommodation. The hotel is under different management now and perhaps the facilities and rooms will be upgraded.

A beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Some of the rooms are dark (which I suppose I should have expected) but atmospheric. The bathroom was lovely, with a bath, and the room very clean. The restaurant was closed in the evening when we were there but there are plenty of lovely eating places in the town. The parking was rather difficult and we ended up parking a few streets away but we were able to wait outside for a short time whilst we unloaded our bags.

We stayed for 2 nights on the may day weekend so, as we had been warned by the hotel, it was very busy with celebration parties downstairs but the noise didn't carry upstairs so not really a problem however I would like to return at a quieter time. Room was very large and comfortable except for the ridiculously small TV which we couldn't even see as it was too far away and tiny, it looked stupid! Wifi was poor or non existent , something else easily remedied. Staff were absolutely lovely.

This is a great hotel for visiting Osuna. Very friendly staff, and a unique historic hotel. Rooms are not surprisingly interesting and individualistic, far from the standard chain hotel offering, but offer comfort and good facilities. The building itself is picturesque - originally built in the 18th century as a nobleman's palace. No wonder it was favoured by Franco Zefirelli when he was filming here, and by the cast of Game of Thrones.

Breakfast is a good standard buffet. Prices are very reasonable for such a memorable experience. Osuna is a great place to stopover on a journey (we were heading for Seville and waited to reach it fresh the next morning). The town has some excellent tapas bars (the hotel can recommend some, but also the old casino is a must) and the bull ring is well worth a visit - a whole Game of Thrones episode having been filmed there adds further interest.

The 18th century palace is magnificent, from its splendid entrance to courtyard and well furnished public areas. Staff are very helpful. Sandra at reception let me use her laptop because the one in the courtyard did not work and she kindly made further reservations in Seville.

The downside for me, although I should add not for my wife, was that there seemed to be little attention to details which one would normally associate with a 4* hotel. Half the bulbs in the room did not not work, the heating at one end of the large room would asthmatically burst into half-life in an attempt to add some warmth to the place and the small television sat upon what appeared to a large metal box which was the minibar.

Breakfast was adequate. Everything was presented, however, in a manner which suggested that we were not in an imposing hotel but some street market stall. From the left a fridge full of bottles of juice, then lots of joghurts, then cakes all in plastic wrapping, then fruit ....

I feel a bit mean writing this because the people were really nice and the setting could not have been more impressive but with a little more care and attention to detail this hotel could equal Alfonso X111 or San Marcos in Seville and Leon.

We visited in early February. Perhaps in busier months the situation is different.
