Warm welcome from the owners. We got two rooms one for our kids standard size and ours under the roof large room very quiet and both with AC. The kids welcome the pool and is as well. The decoration is charming in the rooms but also I the common parts. Breakfast was good taken in the garden under the Toscany sun. The restaurant seems to be excellent as well relax and great certainly great food but as we stayed only one night we went to visit Lucca.

Great stay at an authentic Tuscan villa. Amazing view and atmosphere at breakfast. Very helpful and friendly owners (sorry for late arrival). Very conveniently located, great scenary, lots of space to run for kids, a lake for fishing, sunbathing area and swiming pool - all you need for classical Tuscan trip. Plenty of opportunities to explore the area and towns around, have meals outside, enjoy wine tasting and hiking and be back for a good rest watching the stars. Reasonable prices for the area. Good for couples of all ages and families. Would come back with kids.

We have just spent 3 days and 2 nights at the Relais del Lago and were sad to leave - if only we'd been able to stay longer! The hotel is located in the countryside near Lucca, in Tuscany. It is surrounded by green and beautiful countryside all around, the view is gorgeous and the garden just as nice! Location is great for walks and cycle rides (they lend bikes to hotel guests), and is a short drive away from cute little villages and very practical to see Lucca.

The breakfast is served on the terrace/garden (great view!) and was one the best we had on our trip (Italy isn't the best for breakfasts). Our room was very spacious, with a view onto garden and surrounding hills, perfectly clean and comfortable. We had wifi and a tv (and this was just the Classic Room category). The owners are lovely and I highly recommend the place if you're looking for a relaxing time after visiting a few Tuscan cities.

They also have a restaurant which is amazing (and very well priced for quality and quantity served), the chef is Japanese and masters both Italian and Japanese food. Location is very convenient if you want to enjoy the local wine (you won't have to drive back).

We stayed here recently with our 10 week old baby. We were really appreciative of how kind and flexible the owners were. Eg providing a lovely travel cot which their children had used and letting us have dinner from the incredible restaurant close to the room as our monitor did not work through the 16th c stone walls. The food was sublime and clearly there is a lot of passion about what the family do. It was perfectly located for visits to the local vinyards, villages and villas and stunning Lucca. The place has a gorgeous aspect over the hills and a great relaxed vibe. Thanks!
