My husband and I stayed here one night so that we could visit the Cathedral. The hotel is on a very busy, noisy street. Although the pictures of the pool area look spacious, it is actually very small and cramped and the pool was roped off, even though it would have been nice to swim on the warm September day we were there. Our room was clean, but bare and somewhat dated. Our biggest complaints, however, centered on the restaurant - although we were the first guests there for dinner at 8:30PM, we had to wait a long time for service, we were told that there was only a set menu available, and the food, when we received it, was so bland as to be almost inedible. The lighting was almost clinically bright so there was no atmosphere, even though the views were nice. The windows were kept open and the noise of the traffic was also really disruptive. Breakfast was also terrible - mostly canned fruits in this island where fresh fruit is abundant, stale pastries, very weak coffee - I ended up eating a few cookies and drinking a glass of water for breakfast as the rest was so unappetizing. I got the feeling this hotel was set up for business conventions rather than for individual guests. One bright spot, however: the staff at reception were very nice. I would not stay here again.
