My husband and I travelled to Barbados from July 7-14. This was our first trip out of the U.S. since Covid began in 2020. We had stayed at Cobbler’s Cove many years ago and wanted to return to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had such fond memories of Cobbler’s Cove and this visit did not disappoint us!

Room-
We had a room that faced the ocean and also had a view of the gardens. The bed and pillows were so comfortable! Our room had a nice sized bedroom with a safe. The bathroom was large with a double closet and 2 sinks and 2 bathrobes for guest use. There was also a beautifully decorated sitting room with a mini-fridge and a sink. The sitting room opened to a balcony with 2 wicker chairs and a table facing the ocean and gardens.

They also had a beautiful pool with lounge chairs, umbrellas and beach towels.

We also took a free boat ride on a pink speed boat with a canopy which was fun!

Staff- 5+ Stars

The staff was outstanding! They treated us like royalty. This is a list of some of the staff who were wonderful.

- THE MANAGER - Joanna

-FRONT DESK STAFF- Shanika, Sandra, Greta , Keshae, and Patrick (who found our sandals)

-THE GARDENER- Donovan who gave us a 2 hour tour of the beautiful gardens at Cobbler’s Cove. He has a lot of pride in his flowers and plants.

-THE RESTAURANT STAFF- Shantelle, Andrea and all of the restaurant staff.

-PEARSON #2 who set up our anniversary table by the pool facing the ocean with complimentary champagne from the hotel. He made sure we had the perfect spot under the moon.

We were lucky that the night of our anniversary there was a visiting band and choir from Great Britain. They dedicated a song to us. The group was outstanding!

- HOUSEKEEPING STAFF- especially Cherry- Ann who arranged a tour for us of the special suite at the top of Cobbler’s Cove with a pool. She also left us delicious fresh baked sugar cookies every day.

-THE CHEF- whose name I do not know. If we ever wanted an adjustment to something on the menu , he was always happy to accommodate us. The included breakfast was delicious!

High Tea - every day at exactly 4PM they set up mini sandwiches, fresh lemonade and an assortment of teas.

-THE CAB DRIVER HERBY was also wonderful. He was proud of his country and always explained what we were seeing wherever we went.

I highly recommend Cobbler’s Cove and would never go to any other hotel in Barbados.

My daughter, 13 year old grand daughter and I have just spent a fabulous 9 nights at Cobblers Cove Speightstown , Barbados. Everything about the hotel was perfect, it is so pretty with lovely pink and white striped umbrellas over sunbeds surrounding the pool, which is quite small but sparklingly clean. The gardens are a delight with many different flowering plants and different species of palm trees all very lush and tropical. We saw humming birds, yellow birds and lots of little brown birds which liked to come in to our room! then there were the monkeys who entertained us daily with their antics. We had a two bedroom suite which was extremely comfortable. The beds were great with super mattresses and pillows. The bathrooms are great with lovely St Lucy bath/hair products. The beach is glorious, very unspoilt without any sunbeds ruining it. You can walk along it to Speightstown in about 10 minutes where there are some really good restaurants, banks, pharmacy and general stores. The swimming off the beach is fantastic as is snorkelling. One of the best things at Cobblers are the staff, each and everyone did their best to make our stay memorable, from our arrival to the minute we had to leave. I'm not mentioning names as I don't want to leave anyone out but all are lovely. The boys at the water sport centre are terrific, they taught my grand daughter to water ski and also got me going again after a long break. We skied every day and loved every minute of it. It's a huge bonus that water sports are included in the hotel rate, you can also go on a boat trip if you're not into water sports. The majority of the guests during our stay were families with teenagers, at one point I think I was the eldest guest and my grand daughter the youngest! The hotel isn't really geared up for small children as there's no club for them, and the pool doesn't have a really shallow part, neither is it big enough for children's toys to be launched! The food is very good at every meal and although there s only one restaurant (which looks out to sea), you can have lunch round the pool and I believe you can have dinner in a gazebo if you want a romantic meal away from other guests. Cobblers is a lovely, luxurious but unpretentious hotel where you will be looked after very, very well. As my grand daughter says, it's our 'Most favourite place in the world' We can't wait to return, Thank you all.

Room tip: rooms away from road would be quietest

We booked the Cobblers Cove because we wanted a quiet, traditional property to have a complete rest away from it all. We definitely made the right choice. From the minute we arrived and were welcomed by Kershae and shown our amazing Ocean front Suite we felt at home. There are only 42 rooms, and we were fortunate that the Hotel was not full. It felt like we were the only people there at times which was just perfect.
The room was like something out of a Miss Marple TV programme. Furnishings were cosy and old fashioned in the best way, they fitted the atmosphere of the whole hotel and everything was immaculately maintained. Cushions clean and plumped and the decor looked like it had just been renovated. No TV but we did not even notice until day two! The view of the Caribbean from our gorgeous balcony was all we needed and where we enjoyed feeding the birds and drinking our morning coffee.

Breakfast and other meals are taken in the lovely restaurant overlooking the sea. The food was excellent and the evening menu changed daily (which was good as we ate here every day!).

After a day by the pool or on the beach we enjoyed the thoroughly lovely afternoon tea (included!) served poolside. Sandwiches and cakes just enough to tide us over until dinner. The pool is small but nice, and the beach a few steps away. Make sure you take a boat ride on the Hotel speed boat with Bradley who looks after the water sports.

We loved it here, mainly because of the staff and the attention to detail. We immediately felt that we wanted to come back again and will put it on our short list of favourite hotels in the World. Quiet, unique and special. Three of the most important things to us on a holiday.

My wife and I left the kids at home and went to this hotel for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was one of the best holidays of our life.
We had a stunning Ocean Front suite which was in perfect condition. The food is of a very high standard and drinking Cobblers Rum Punch overlooking the sea is an experience I will not forget. The hotel is so relaxed and everything is taken care of. It is like a different world.
I spent most of my days using the free watersports kit and my wife spent most of her days sun-bathing with a cocktail in hand.
We will definitely come back as soon as we can convince the grandparents to babysit again!

Room tip: Ocean Front is best for falling asleep to the sound of gentle lapping waves.
