Just home from this fabulous family run Hotel set in a stunning ski area. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by the management and staff. The hotel has been updated since our last visit and it is so luxurious. The beds were first class as were the bathrooms and room facilities. There is a pool, hot tub, saunas and solarium to relax in after your days skiing as well as wonderful massages should you wish. All very clean with more towels and bathrobes provided.
Children are so very welcome. Early dinner is available to them and a kids club, ball pool room as well as a teen cinema and climbing wall.
The Restaurant is world class. A beautifully redecorated and intimate room offering the finest cuisine matched with wines from around the world. Again the staff are so helpful and friendly either helping you choose from the most fabulous buffet or a la carte.
Would definitely recommend at least a week for relaxing and fine dining in the stunning location of Gosau. Thanks for an amazing experience.

1. Great location for skiing. Few minutes walking from the chairlift. Hotel has lockers for each room next to chair lift so you don't have to worry about you gear- a big bonus! It is heated, so everything will be dry in the morning. If you like visiting different bars in the evening or shopping- there is nothing in the walking distance.
2. I salut the chef. The quality, variety and presentation of the food was excellent and felt like in 5* hotel. I don't know if it is because of Christmas and New Year but there was food available nearly all day long.
3. Wine list is endless! You can find wine for any taste and pocket : )
4. If you have kids, don't think twice- they have game rooms, play rooms, cinema room and someone to entertain them while you relax in the afternoon or have dinner.
5. Staff was friendly and attentive. Big thank you to Brigita who took care of our group during breakfast and dinner.
6. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. There is no tea coffee making facilities but I actually didn't miss it as didn't spent much time in the room. I have noticed that part of the hotel rooms are refurbished so maybe it is a plan to redo them all. That would be great. Our accommodation had two rooms and both contained beds. Since we were only two of us, it would have been nice to have a seating area instead of extra beds.
7. Hotel has parking and you don't have to pay anything extra for it.
Overall we had a wonderful time in this and would definitely recommend it to everyone who is looking for good week of ski holiday.

I really liked this hotel. The people were very friendly and the location (about 20 minutes drive from Hallstatt) was great. I found a walk/bike path nearby that went for a long way and had beautiful mountain views. We stayed in a family suite on the third floor that had a big bed in the main room, a small room with bunk beds and two bathrooms (one with a separate shower). The décor was very simple, but cozy; the windows open wide and there is a great view of the mountains. There was a nice balcony that had two chairs and some flowers. There is no AC so we asked for a couple of fans and they brought them right up. This hotel is located right off the road so there can be some road noise if you leave the windows open; it might be quieter on the other side of the hotel, but there is a very large children’s play area out back and thus it might not be quiet until later in the evening. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were quite good. This hotel seemed to be very family-friendly for those with little ones. I wish we had stayed longer because there seemed to be good hiking in every direction and the people in the hotel were so nice. One thing to note if you have mobility issues: this hotel seemed to have only one elevator located some distance from the rooms and even then, our room was located down a set of 3-4 steps. I hope to return here again

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies

The true strength of the hotel is the beautiful valley between the mountains where it lies. Unfortunately, much more good can not be said about it.
The room is noisy (No 122), no air conditioning. The mini bar is an empty, rusty refrigerator. No tea making facilities (kettle) in the room. Wifi almost does not work at all. If you can connect, it's also a horrible slow (dial up level 15 years ago). There is not enough parking for guests at the hotel. Because of the warmth, one would have to open a window, but the pool was very noisy and there was some noise from the restaurant. You can not rest normally when the weather is hot.
Breakfast is of average quality and variety. The buffet dinner has very limited selection and they are not good.
It was one of the worst choices in the last 15 years.

Room Tip: Avoid room 120-123. They are beside the pool.
