The family room is very comfortable. There are 2 extra single beds for our children but still more space to move around. Breakfast room with good view of the Port. Great location, just fews steps from everything. Parking is reasonable price and secure with electric gate.

Hotel has a great location and offers parking at an adjoining lot. Staff was friendly and offered good advice on dining options. The room was a bit small, but once you turn out the lights and hop into bed, you won't notice. If you are into wine, it is conveniently right across from the wine co-op. Overall, good value.

We booked this at short notice via Booking.com and paid 98 € room only. The balcony and view of the harbour made it a more expensive room.

There is secure parking at 9 € per night which is very good. The room was pleasant and the air conditioning works. We were shocked however to find that our little dog attracted an extra charge of 14 € per night. Yes, 14 €! They have obviously had complaints as the receptionist made a point of telling us as we checked in. I feel that 14 € is an outrageous sum. Especially being as the Booking.com website states 'your furry friend is welcome here'. At 14 € I would think they would welcome tigers and bears as well! Sorry but we have stayed all over France and have NEVER paid more than 10 €. I don't complain very often and being British we just politely accept what we are given. On this occasion however I insisted on seeing the owner/manager. A charming man and after a rather hot discussion he agreed to reduce the fee to 8 €. I would much rather however he reduced the charge to everybody not just us. It is marked on the Booking.com website but not obvious and we had not seen it (yes, I know that is our own fault). We would never have booked if we had known the charge was so high. It is not the money it is the principle.

In addition there were exactly four sheets of toilet paper in the bathroom dispenser and I had to ask for more at reception which was somewhat embarrassing.

Overall the hotel is clean and the views nice.

The best thing about this hotel is the situation on the habour. The entrance side is from the village and another door leads to the port. We stayed here for two nights one night on the way to our destination our initial reaction was our welcome was cool. The other night was on the way back, and to be honest would have stayed somewhere else, had there been accomodation available on the harbour side. Our return welcome was no better, and the male receptionist was unhelpful, watching my husband struggle with the rear door. As for the hotel rooms, we felt the room at 106 euros was overpriced it was small, with a window section not much use for anything. Basically it was like a campanile - not 3 star. Parking was an extra 13 euros - in all fairness a good parking system with allocated spaces and secure.

Stayed at Hotel Port Beach for 3 nights on our trip to Gruissan. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms - try to get a room with a balcony/terrace if at all possible because it helps to cool the room down and rooms have a nice view of the harbour. No extras included - breakfast, parking etc all to be paid separately but all in all a very pleasant stay.
