Reviewed 30 July 2015 via mobile

Booked two rooms here for an overnight stay in July 2015, just a couple of days before the Tour de France was coming through town.

Other hotels in the area had ramped up their prices, and there was lots of tour-related activity in the area, but the prices here were exactly the same and they were not taking advantage

The rooms are very compact, and the toilet/showers are of the plastic pre-fabricated style, but while small, everything you need is there.

The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable, so a good night's sleep was had.

Breakfast was very good and the visit was made very much more pleasant by the hard-working family who operate this hotel. Not only were they very friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy to give us advice and directions to local restaurants and shops.

The overnight cost for four adults, with breakfast, was less than 100 Euros and combined with free wi-fi, and secure parking, made this an excellent stop.

This place is what it is - a budget overnight hotel - and is one I would definitely use again if I am ever in the area for a day or so, but it is not really suitable for an extended family holiday and does not pretend that it is.

For singles couples this is just the job for an overnight stop. The rooms are clean and reasonably appointed. The staff could not be faulted, they were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was continental, but better than other budget hotels we have used.

Room Tip: We booked a room for three adults. It was disappointing that the third bed was a bunk bed, above our double, only big enough for a large child. The staff were very helpful and we took another room for our 36 year old son. All of the rooms for three were of this configuration, so it is inaccurate for them to be sold as for three adults. That said, the staff found us a second room at a reasonable rate, so our son was able to sleep. The shower rooms were "compact and bijou", but the water was hot and the towels were big enough to dry oneself. They have a gate code system to protect their (free) secure car park, so it is important to ring ahead if you will arrive outside of the reception hours. Note that reception is not open on Sunday afternoon/evening. The (free) wifi was very effective and my wife and son were easily able to update their social media accounts without difficulty.

Stayed for one night whilst travelling through France. Loved the electronic check in system for out of hours. Was clean, comfortable and very convenient. Would use the chain again for a stop over whilst travelling. Not somewhere you would choose specifically for a leisure break as it is like a motel. Staff at reception were friendly when we handed the key over in the morning. Didnt have the self service breakfast which looked fine. Whilst travelling back through France on the way home, we used another Fasthotel as we were happy with what they offered for somewhere to get some sleep.

This is more like a motel than Hotel, the location is not as described on the website i booked with, it is about a ten minute drive from anywhere so is not suitable for someone without a car. It is described as near the airport and town but a taxi to the airport was quoted as €30-35, when we debated the price we were told it would be €20-25 which i still thought was alot considering it was supposed to be near the airport (Pau). Pau airport no longer has any buses running from the airport so a taxi was our only option, i would not stay at the hotel again simply because it was too far from anywhere. But the facilities were fine and the room was clean.
