Long post but bear with me, it's justified!!
Our 1st night here was the night of the earthquake and I cannot praise Steve and his family enough for the care they took of us that night and I cannot believe the cheek of the earlier review criticising them!
Firstly yes Steve most definitely did bring water out for anyone who wanted, for free. No he didn't bring 'crisps' but why would he??? What he did, along with his family, was stay with us all night, reassuring and advising in let's face it ... unknown circumstances. They hadn't experienced a 6.7 Richter scale earthquake before either but they kept calm and stayed with us, escorting people into their rooms to get belongings as required at risk to themselves! Steve had a wife and baby at home that I'm sure he must have been desperate to be with but he stayed put with us. Then the staff worked tirelessly all day clearing up the damage as well as the day to day business of running the place, having been up all night.
So from us it's a big thank you
The maids and maintenance man need a quick mention too as they do a great job, our rooms cleaned and tidied on what seemed liked a daily basis with fresh linen frequently- always with a smile for us.
The grounds are immaculate and even with the earthquake damage to the sprinkler system he managed to keep the very pretty gardens and the pool in tip top condition.
A mention to the kindness and generosity of the Greek people as a whole ... with businesses and homes damaged and serious losses and real fear of further earthquakes I was humbled by the concern these people still showed us, always asking if we were ok and if we were coping with the daily aftershocks. Yes we are their main income but it certainly seemed to be genuine care and concern for us..... truly lovely people
Anyway.,,, Lenaki, great place to stay yes the rooms are basic but so are most apartments in Greece, they are definitely adequate and the air con is great, everywhere is clean, everyone is friendly, we like the 20 minute walk to and from town - the cows along the way amuse us and it's a chance for the fabulous food we eat far too much of to go down!
A few restaurant recommendations: Mama Rosa - great pizzas and truly lovely family.
Angelicas, by the beach - nice food, great setting, lovely people.
Noah's Ark - what a find this year - ridiculous sized portions of amazing food.
SunBurnt Arms - great English Breakfast and free sun loungers on the beach, Yannis and his wife are so lovely.
Hassan at 'The Caravan' genuinely lovely man - rabbit stifado our husbands favourite ever meal!
Definitely recommend Lenaki and Kos to anyone. Our 4th visit over 8 years and I'm sure not our last!

Had an absolutely amazing time at the Lenaki apartments this summer, the staff were all lovely, bar food and drinks were great (especially the extra strong rekorderlig!) the rooms perfect perfect and were cleaned daily. Pool was fab everyone was lovely absolutely no rowdiness or carry on except the good kind, always got a sun bed no question and when it was busy extra beds were brought out, the wee park at the back was great for the kids too. Couldn't recommend it enough. Great wee bar at the dolphin square called G-Plaza, the food, cocktails and deserts were outstanding. A wee bit closer to home is la Strega which again everything was amazing. The beach is lovely and you can get free sun beds if you buy a beer at the bars, Tigaki beach is a shirt ride away which is beautiful as well and I would definitely recommend the "Black pearl" boat for the three islands boat trip, food was great staff are so friendly and the atmosphere on the boat was really great for all ages, plati and pserimos were beautiful, beaches for swimming snd snorkelling and jumping off the boat!

Visited the lenaki appartments having staying here 3years ago previously, and agreed with my partner,we would definitely return, having been to Mexico and cuba in the gap between our return visit,I can honestly say,we still love the place, clean tidy and very welcoming family.
Pool and garden areas are spotless and always a sunbed what ever time you get to the pool.
Snack bar is great and drinks are very reasonably priced also.
Rooms basics but that's all you need and cleaned daily.
Maria and Steve and rest of the family are so welcoming. It is a little bit of a walk into town as in the main town but plenty of bars shops and restaurants on the way. And good way to walk your dinner off on way back ;-).
Can't not find a fault although me and partner as very lazy and not earlier risers, maids come in around 10ish,but if they know your still bed, leave and return later. Enjoyed our second stay as much as our first so booked to go again in September and taking friends. I'd say it more for older couples and family with children it's not your 18 to 30 club. If you want a chilled relaxed holiday, highly recommended. Look forward to our return visit.

The staff were really helpful and the apartments are really clean . The pool area is very nice and they are really comfortable sun beds. The location is a bit out of the way about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Kos town.
