The rental is set in a small town/village that caters for all ages within less than 1 km. The rental itself is ideally placed just 10 metres from a small beach that gets the sun all day. You can take your coffee or food to the beach in your bare feet. The sea was clear and the snorkeling easy, with enough variety in the waves to be interesting.
The accommodation is long and thin with a big window at one end offering panoramic views of the beach, rest of the bay and hills behind. It is not air conditioned which was not an issue unless the window was shut at night. Even then it was okay. The floor is tiled throughout making it easy to sweep sand away. The facilities are good but the fan did not work and the piano was a little out of place. There is a washing machine and dishwasher but both had seen better days. The cooking facilities were good and there was a lot of cutlery and crockery although not enough mugs. There were plenty of towels and bedding.
The outside seating is limited and in the shade, but we moved the bench across the small road and sat on the end of the beach which was great. The shopping was okay with a small Spar and a lovely bread shop. There are a wide variety of restaurants close by.
The only negative, which amused us in many ways, was that the window overlooks the steps onto the beach and so anyone leaving looks straight through the window. The same is true of the hundreds of people walking past the window through the day - people cannot resist looking through an open window. So we felt a little like we were on show, but ultimately the view out of the window far out weighed the people looking in.
