Visited O Porto today after an absence of many years. Sadly the ownership has changed and it is now a fast food style Chinese hotpot restaurant. From the outside it looks the same but once inside it is clear that the old O Porto has gone.

We left immediately and went next door the delightful Littoral restaurant where all our favourite Macanese favourites are still served complete with white table cloths etc. etc. Garlic prawns, grilled sardines, African chicken followed by chocolate and mango mousses washed down with Superbock and Vinho Verde. Excellent.

The restaurant has good atmosphere. Waitress was speaking only little English, and we were in hurry, therefore haven't realized all options so had rather expensive dinner. Due to my mistake in number of the dish, have tried salt-and-spicy prawns instead of stuffed crab. Was not disappointed, however. Tasty minchi, served with egg - not typical but also good.
Best octopus salad ever tried in Macau, heavenly dressing.

Entered this restaurant by accident. We actually wanted to go to Litoral next door, but it was closed and it was already quite late for lunch.
Had the african chicken and the bacalao. Both were very interesting, tasty, well prepared and presented. Drank Macau Beer with them and it was overall a very pleasing place and experience, with a young and service oriented team of girls

to other Portuguese restaurants in Macau. We were there in early afternoon and had two lunch sets ... Pork and Fish (sea bass).. Each came with a small bowl of soup, a free drink (non-alcoholic) and a choice of either rice and spaghetti with the main course. Soup was good, and was the nicest part of the dish. The fish and pork looked and tasted similar, both being heavily processed and boneless. The vegetables on my dish consisted of one small piece of broccoli and 3 green beans. There were also four small stone cold processed fries! Yikes...barely fished the dish. There are better places to spend your money. However, the interior is quite nice. Prices reasonable 60-80 MOP for each lunch set.
