Wonderful week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay at the Cordial Mogán Playa.
From our first impressions of the unusual and attractive Reception and lobby area to walking amongst the various buildings in the grounds, we were impressed with the layout and design. Despite its size, the hotel was quiet and peaceful and never seemed overcrowded. The extensive gardens are beautifully planted and well maintained - a lovely wander through the grounds to the gate leading to the town itself. The swimming pools are stunning and the sunbeds plentiful.
We always prefer to eat at local restaurants - of which there are many great ones to choose from - so had only breakfast at the hotel. We enjoyed the choice and quality of food provided. Service was always prompt and staff very pleasant.
Finally, we very much appreciated the recognition of a special birthday celebrated during our stay.
We hope to return for some winter sun in future!

We thank you a lot for having been our guest and for sharing your lovely feedback regarding your stay in our Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa! We are delighted to read that you were favourably impressed with the design of our buildings. Certainly, our architecture, in a Canarian Village style, is distributed in a fascinating botanic garden with over 450 different plant species which combine perfectly with our two spectacular swimming pools and with our gorgeous lobby area. We are very happy to hear that you have enjoyed this very much.

Once again, thank you for choosing us for your birthday and for sharing with us such an special day. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed our little birthday detail!

It has been a real pleasure for us and nothing would please us more than to welcome you back to our complex again soon, hopefully the next winter to enjoy our wonderful sunshine!

Summary of visit

Grounds beautiful, staff very helpful especially reception & swimming pools good, but there it ends. Rooms are very old fashioned and bathrooms urgently need updating. Breakfast good and cold buffet at dinner good, but the hot food was lukewarm at best and poor quality. Avoid dinner, but otherwise good stay.

Regarding the issues with the food, our management has been informed of all your impressions and we are already working on improving the quality and temperature of our dinner. Mogan harbour beautiful, the hotel is dated and tired.

Rooms tired and old fashioned, bathrooms need urgent updating. Breakfast okay but evening buffet poor quality and always lukewarm. Mogan harbour just fabulous so avoid the half board and eat in one of the many restaurants in the harbour. Definitely not worthy of four stars at the moment.

Is a gamble if you get offered something warm, quality of produce (red meat /fish) very poor quality and generally inedible.

As good as it gets ! Fab

We transferred to this hotel from a different resort and we were so pleased!
From the first welcome to checkout we were treated very well and had a superb stay
Great rooms, all with views of either the spectacular gardens or the pools.

We had to pay for the safe though?? Most unusual as 4/5 star hotels always include this as part of your stay
Otherwise we were very happy.

Food was wonderful! All high quality
Hotel very busy as they said it’s peak season
Dinner is in two sittings and you will have the same table every night for dinner
Food constantly checked and replenished, nice to have hot plates for hot food
Top quality fish and meat
Huge salad bar
Separate huge desserts section
Lots of friendly helpful staff
Breakfast excellent but more of a free for all re tables and seating so go early but nevertheless food plentiful and replenished regularly.

There are notices about not reserving sun beds but everyone reserved them and no one from staff intervened

It’s a really lovely BIG hotel built on the theme of a Spanish village withbeautiful gardens and pools, they even do weekly hotel tours !!!
Easy access to the town and harbour
So good we recommended to my brother and his wife, they go next week !
